Why Montrose?
We see a diverse caseload with a strong focus on orthopaedics, surgery, hospitalisation and rehabilitation. You’ll work alongside experienced vets and nurses, support complex cases and have plenty of opportunities to learn and develop.
We’re also proud of our safety-net program, helping ensure patients receive the care they need when experiencing financial difficult

Your role
As Head Nurse, you’ll combine hands-on clinical nursing with genuine leadership and influence. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Help coordinate hospital and surgical cases
• Develop our orthopaedic, hospital and rehabilitation nursing
• Drive staff training and professional development
• Bring ideas forward and see them implemented
• Work closely with veterinary leadership to continually improve patient care

More than a nursing role
We’re not looking for someone to simply fill a position. We’re looking for someone who wants to build something. If you have ideas about improving patient care, developing your team or making the hospital a better place to work, we want to hear them. You’ll have the autonomy and support to take ownership and make a genuine difference.

About you
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is an experienced veterinary nurse ready for their next challenge
• Has strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care
• Enjoys a busy, varied hospital environment
• Has an interest in surgery, orthopaedics and/or rehabilitation
• Loves mentoring and developing others
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Leads by example and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo

Leadership experience is highly regarded, but we’re also open to an experienced nurse ready to step into their first formal leadership role.

Ready to make your mark?
Join Montrose Veterinary Centre and help shape the future of our hospital, our nursing team and the care we provide. For a confidential discussion reach out to Joe Friend on joseph.friend@vetpartners.com.au
