A University of Queensland graduate with 15 years in practice, Skye now leads across our specialty and emergency hospitals and is passionate about helping vets and nurses grow.

Internal Medicine Specialist

Raquel graduated in veterinary medicine in Madrid in 2013 and trained across Spain and the UK, completing an ECVIM-accredited residency in internal medicine at Southfields Veterinary Specialists in England. Raquel made the move from Europe to Australia in 2025.

Raquel trained across Spain and the UK before becoming a Dipl. ECVIM-CA in 2023. A year on from her move to Australia in August 2025, she shares what the visa process, day-to-day support, and life near the water are really like.
