For Nurses in New Zealand:

Train as a Vet Nurse, Backed by the Industry

Vet Nurse Plus is our dedicated training establishment, focused on one thing: producing outstanding veterinary nurse graduates who can hit the ground running from day one. Since 2005, our programme has been built hand-in-hand with the industry that employs our graduates, which is why well over 95% are hired within six months of graduating.

You'll study the NZQA-accredited Level 6 New Zealand Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, delivered full-time over two years. Choose to study in person at our Auckland locations, or via online blended learning with block courses and exams in Auckland, whichever suits how you learn best. With small class sizes, experienced tutors, and hands-on clinic placements from the very start, you'll graduate with real industry exposure, not just theory.

Clinical Governance - VAC & NAC

Our hospital teams are committed to delivering exceptional patient care every day. As clinical knowledge continues to evolve, our people deserve reliable guidance on medical topics, emerging technology and equipment.

VetPartners doesn't prescribe medical policy. Instead, our Veterinary Advisory Committee (VAC) and Nurse Advisory Committee (NAC) support clinical leaders in developing practice standards, making informed equipment decisions, and evaluating new medical approaches, so our teams are backed by trusted, collective clinical expertise.

From Day One to Leadership

Joining VetPartners means stepping into a structured and supported six-month induction program. From your first week, you'll have a clear plan, a dedicated buddy, and a leader who knows exactly what good looks like at 30, 90 and 180 days. You'll always know where you stand, what's next, and who's in your corner.

From there, development keeps going. Our in-house leadership programs are built in levels, so you learn what's relevant to where you actually are:

Emerging

First-time and aspiring leaders

Established

Leaders running a team or a clinic

Advanced

Multi-site and senior leaders

How you learn is up to you - join our expert-led drop-in sessions, face-to-face workshops where you practise the hard conversations before you have them, or access an extensive library of self-directed short online courses as you need them.

Whether you're a new grad nurse, a vet finding your feet, or a manager building your first team, there's a plan and pathway for you.

Flynn's Walk, Sydney

13 September 2026

Every year, VetPartners joins our team members at events across the industry that support the wellbeing of the veterinary community. This year, we were proud to be on the ground at Flynn's Walk, a grassroots event supporting mental health and wellbeing across the profession, with a coffee cart and treats for everyone who came along.

Events like this help build compassion and understanding in the wider community, showing support for the people who care for our pets.

Re-fur a Friend

Great people know great people!

Some of our best team members came to us through someone who already knew what makes VetPartners special, an ex-colleague, a friend from university, a family member, or someone from your veterinary network. Our great culture is thanks to the people already here, and we love that so many of you have helped bring others into the fold. It's a reminder that we're all connected, and that the community we've built together is one of
our greatest strengths.

Everybody's Voice

We run regular engagement surveys and pulse checks, giving every team member a genuine chance to share honest feedback about their experience working here. It's not just a box-ticking exercise. We take the time to listen to what's said, identify what's working well and where we can do better, and use it to keep improving the team member experience across the network.

We also come together regularly for our All Paws company-wide updates, where everyone across the network can log on to hear what's happening, celebrate wins and stay connected.
